GZU signs MOU with Trust Academy
Great Zimbabwe University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trust Academy, in a move which will see Trust Academy offering two diplomas under the stewardship of the University.
Through the MoU, which establishes a framework of mutually beneficial relationships promoting academic cooperation between the two institutions, Trust Academy will offer a Diploma in Topflight Executive Office Administration and another Diploma in Community Development, starting in June 2019, under the guidance of Great Zimbabwe University. The MoU will also see the two partners carrying out collaborative research, teaching and learning, joint quality assurance and benchmarking, among other objectives.
Speaking at a meeting between GZU and Trust Academy on Wednesday, 27 February 2019, at the Herbert Chitepo Law School, Great Zimbabwe University Pro Vice Chancellor and Chairperson of the Associate/Affiliate Status Committee, Dr Andrew Chindanya said that the signing of the MoU marked the beginning of a symbiotic relationship which is expected to bring a lot of value to both institutions. The Pro Vice Chancellor said that it is important for the institutions to maintain and protect the good reputations that they both enjoy, adding that the success of the relationship relies on their good name and reputation. Dr Chindanya urged the two institutions to keep their communication channels open and to always share matters of strategic importance.
The Principal of Trust Academy, Mr Mark Dembure and his Registrar, Mrs Pfungwa Chamanga said that they were hopeful that their college will get good mentoring and due recognition through the relationship with Great Zimbabwe University.
