Mrs Mavis Bidi is the first Registrar of the Great Zimbabwe University. She was appointed to the post on 1 February, 2008. Before her appointment, Mrs Bidi was at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) where she was a Senior Assistant Registrar for Human Resources. She was with NUST for 16 years. She joined NUST from the Ministry of Labour where she worked as a Labour Relations Officer for four years.

 Mrs Bidi holds an MBA from the University of Wales, Cardiff, in the UK, a Bachelor of Administration Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and an IPMZ Certificate in Personnel Management.
