Vision
To be the Premier Law School of legal education and scholarship in Zimbabwe with a commitment to excellent, effective, ethical and socially relevant legal education and research

Mission
To produce:
 Lawyers who understand the significance of culture, tradition and social context in interpreting and applying the law of Zimbabwe.
 Highly competent, self-motivated and innovative lawyers who have high professional and ethical standards.
 Lawyers who are socially responsible and conscious of their role in contributing to the legal, political, cultural and economic development of Zimbabwe.
 Lawyers who recognise and respect difference, and appreciate/celebrate political, social, religious, ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity.
 Lawyers who understand the values of human dignity, Unhu/Ubuntu, the achievement of equality and the advancement of human rights and freedoms.
 Lawyers who understand the need to eliminate all forms of discrimination in society, be it on the grounds of ethnicity, race, gender, nationality, class, religion, culture and disability.

Core Values
To ensure quality in teaching, research and examinations, the School will adopt the following measures:
 Admit only students who meet the admission criteria set by the school;
 Admit students who are proficient in English;
 Provide the required resources and state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and research;
 Review teaching and learning activities annually;
 Work closely with the legal profession to ensure that our courses remain relevant to the needs of the legal profession, government, commerce, industry and the international community;
 Subject all examination question papers and scripts to independent internal and external moderation;
 Ensure that the curriculum is socially and contextually relevant and reflects the University’s location in Zimbabwe, Africa and the World.
 Actively promote the social and personal well-being of staff and students by creating an environment conducive to the realisation of their full human potential.
