Great Zimbabwe University Chairman of Council, Mr. S.J. Chihambakwe, Vice Chancellor Professor R.J. Zvobgo, Council, Management, Senate, Staff and Students would like to express their profound gratitude to the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Honourable E.D. Munangagwa, the Government of Zimbabwe, public and private organisations, non-governmental organisations, churches, schools, colleges, sister universities and individuals for partnering the University to successfully host its inaugural Fundraising Dinner which was held at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel on Friday, 15 September 2017.

The University is aggressively mobilising resources to ensure it achieves its desired vision to be the Centre of Excellence in Arts, Culture and Heritage Studies as well as the advancement of other academic disciplines, for the promotion of the development of society. This vision will be chiefly achieved through the provision of adequate physical structures that will provide facilities for the successful accomplishment of the University’s growth. The fundraising dinner was specifically aimed at mobilising funds for the construction of the Convocation Hall at the University’s Main Campus, near the Great Zimbabwe National Monuments.
