Welcome to the Department of Information and Public Relations at Great Zimbabwe University. The Department’s vision is to position Great Zimbabwe University as the University of Choice nationally, regionally and internationally. This positioning brings to life our vision and mission, and it drives the strategy behind all our communications, marketing and public relations efforts.
The responsibilities of the Information and Public Relations Department include production of university-wide marketing materials, assisting in the creation of communication strategies and tactics, and coordinating and overseeing all internal and external communications. The intent is to provide guidance and direction from concept to creation and to ensure that all marketing and promotional communications favourably and accurately reflect Great Zimbabwe University’s high standard of academic quality.
The Information and Public Relations Department is responsible for final review and sign-off of marketing and promotional materials produced by all academic, and administrative Departments within the university. Communication materials from administrators, faculty, staff, students, and student organizations include:
- advertisements (newspapers, magazines, television, radio, Web, billboards)
- promotional and specialty items
- university-wide publications
- clothing and merchandise
