Great Zimbabwe University Vice Chancellor, Professor Rungano Zvobgo, on Friday 31 October 2025, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) Masvingo Region in recognition of his contribution to the development of education in Zimbabwe. At the same event, Great Zimbabwe University was presented with a First Runner-Up Certificate in the 2025 Public Institution Most Supportive of Business Award category.
The ZNCC Masvingo Annual Business Awards Dinner, held at Urban Lifestyle Hotel, ran under the theme “Unlocking Business Potential Through Policy, Partnerships and Productivity.” The ceremony brought together leaders from government, the private sector, development partners, and the media to celebrate individuals and organisations contributing to Masvingo’s economic growth.
About 180 delegates attended the event.
