Assets Department
The University Assets Department plays a vital role in supporting the mission and operations of our institution. As the stewards of the university’s physical resources, we are responsible for effectively managing and maintaining all campus facilities, equipment, and other valuable assets.
Key Functions
Procurement and Acquisition
We oversee the procurement of new assets, including researching suppliers, negotiating contracts, and coordinating the delivery and onboarding of equipment, furniture, and other resources. This ensures the university acquires high-quality, cost-effective assets to support teaching, research, and administration.

Inventory Management
We maintain a comprehensive inventory system to track the location, condition, and lifecycle of every university-owned item. Regular audits and assessments allow us to make informed decisions about asset utilization, maintenance, and replacement.
Facilities Management
The Assets Department is responsible for the upkeep and operation of all campus buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. We schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to preserve the integrity and functionality of our facilities.
Fleet Management
We manage the university’s fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialized equipment. This involves scheduling maintenance, monitoring usage, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Commitment to Sustainability
Aligned with the university’s sustainability initiatives, the Assets Department prioritizes environmentally-responsible practices in our operations. This includes promoting energy efficiency, waste reduction, and the procurement of eco-friendly assets whenever possible.
Collaboration and Service
We work closely with academic and administrative departments across campus to understand their asset needs and provide tailored solutions. By fostering strong partnerships, we aim to enable the university’s teaching, research, and public service missions through effective resource management.
