The ceremony takes place each year, typically in September or October. Annually, the Great Zimbabwe University awards over 4ooo students with internationally recognized First Degrees, Master’s, and Doctoral qualifications. Graduation marks the culmination of 2 to 5 years of dedicated effort and is a significant milestone in a student’s life.

The ceremony is presided over by the Chancellor of the Great Zimbabwe University, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

Upon qualifying for graduation, each student receives a degree certificate and transcript from the University of Zimbabwe. Graduands must settle any outstanding fees and pay a graduation fee of US$125.00, which covers:

– Academic regalia
– Transcript and certificate issued on graduation day
