Welcome to the Procurement Management Unit (PMU) at Great Zimbabwe University. The PMU is a new department in the Vice Chancellor’s office established in terms of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act [Chapter 22:23]. The Procurement Management Unit is the University’s dedicated centre of excellence for all procurement related matters.The PMU promotes efficient and effective procurement, working with all the relevant stakeholders to ensure that value for money is maximised. The PMU also supports all the University’s departments in their quest to meet the objectives of Education 5.0 which are teaching, research, community service, innovation and industrialisation.The GZU Procurement Management Unit is responsible for ensuring that all procurement proceedings are conducted in terms of the Act and fundamentally to achieve the objectives of the Act as outlined in section 4 as follows:
