The Security Services Department’s primary function is to provide security and safety services and its key roles include:
- Protection of property and averting losses
- Maintenance of order
- Preservation of life
- Enforcement of rules and regulations (prevention of breaches)
- Provision of security and safety advice
- Investigation of breaches
